Bavaria is a stunning state in southeastern Germany surrounded by beautiful alps and filled with historic sites. We visited Bavaria in January and luckily had sunny skies and mild temperatures in the winter. While we were there for about a week, we narrowed down our favorite parts of the region to a three-day itinerary for those wanting to make a quick trip to the region.

Quick Guide to Prague
If you are looking for a charming, affordable, easy to visit city in the heart of Europe, Prague is your answer.
From all the places we’ve gone, we’ve never loved a place as quickly as we did Prague. Every cobblestone street we turned on seemed more magical than the last. The views were incredible anywhere we were, the food was delicious, the people were extremely welcoming and the things to see and do were endless. We could have spent a month there without getting bored.
Because there is an overwhelming amount of things to do (and eat) in Prague, here is a short guide to help you plan your trip.
Visiting the Wonders of the Atacama Desert
The Atacama Desert in Northern Chile is known to be the driest place on earth and is a truly unworldly place (Moon Valley living up to it’s name). We posted up in the remote town of San Pedro De Atacama for three nights and had some of the best travel moments of our lives. Since there is an overwhelming amount of tours and different ways to see the desert, we are going to break down for you how we spent our time, what was worth seeing and some pieces of advice for visiting.
Where to Stay and Hike Visiting Zion
Zion National Park is one of the most popular national parks in our country, and now we can see why. The beauty surrounding us cleared our minds and filled our souls. Coming back from a long weekend here, we wanted to share our recommended itinerary is when planning a visit to southwest Utah.
How to Spend Two Days in NYC
New York City is an awesome city with infinite possibilities of things to do or see. We had a weekend to spend there in June and wanted to make the most of our time there. Since we live in Chicago, just being in a city doesn’t do much from us (walking around Manhattan doesn’t feel too different than walking around the loop), so we wanted to experience things that stood out as things that make NYC special. If you’re planning a weekend here and need some ideas of how to spend your time, then this post is for you!
How to Eat Your Way Around Lima
One of our favorite things to do when we travel is eat local cuisine. When we planned a trip to Lima, Peru, we knew this city would be focused around food (since Lima is known as the food capital of South America). We booked a food tour with Exquisito Peru (ultimate Barranco food tour) and it couldn’t have been a better, and tastier, experience.
Where to Stay in Lima
Lima, Peru is a city not to be missed. Many will visit either before or after Cuzco (since Lima is the city most international travelers fly in and out of when visiting Peru). We came straight from Cuzco and I was incredibly sick from the altitude. What I needed in Lima was relaxation and rejuvenation. We stayed at Casa Andina Premium in Miraflores and it was exactly what we needed.
The Magic of Moon Valley
While Moon Valley (locally named Valle de la Luna) isn’t actually on the moon, it’s the next best thing to it. It is a MAGICAL place located in the middle of the Atacama Desert (driest desert in the world!) in Chile. We booked our tour to Moon Valley with Denomades who hooked us up seamlesslyContinueContinue reading “The Magic of Moon Valley”
Highlights of Chilean Cuisine
Planning our trip to Santiago, Chile, we knew we wanted to try the best of Chilean food. What better way to experience than to not only try it, but learn to cook it! We took a cooking class with Uncorked Chile that was a highlight of our time in Santiago (and showcased the BEST food).ContinueContinue reading “Highlights of Chilean Cuisine”
